ScotiaMcLeod Mississauga  places a particular emphasis on helping those in need in our communities. We don’t just write cheques…we get active in our fundraising and we stay committed to our causes.

We have been hosting the Mark Bristow Golf Annual Golf tournament since 1999. This event has raised over $275,000 for such causes as the Canadian Diabetes Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel Region.

Since 2005 we have hosted the “Night at the Inn” raising funds for children in need in Mississauga. Our latest evening raised over $20,000 for the Jerry Love Fund for Kids, a Mississauga charity that provides access to recreational programs for thousands of children from underprivileged families.

We are also proud sponsors of the Region of Peel Family services (since 1995), the Mississauga Festival of Lights (since inception) and the Riverwood Conservancy (since 2005). Everyone in the branch contributes what they can to our charitable culture. The charity committee works year round to bring these events to life. Our advisors also are board members of local charitable organizations and collectively our staff provide over 1,000 hours of coaching to kids in our communities.

This year the Night at the Inn was held at the Mississauga Golf and Country Club on Thursday November 18th, 2010 in support of the Jerry Love Children's Fund. The evening was filled with magic and music of Tyrone Gabriel of the Nylons. With the help of the Mississauga community, sponsors and guests, we raised over $24,000 for the Gerry Love Children's Fund. Congratulations to all those who participated and helped to put on a great show.
